Quarrying Works

A Thomas & Sons offer a full quarrying service from initial land survey to identify locations through to crushing and stockpiling of material.

We have completed a number of quarrying projects to gain stone for forest road building. One of these projects saw us quarry in excess of 70,000 tonnes. 30,000 tonnes of which was crushed to create a 4” to dust product.

Survey.
We use our expertise to identify area’s suitable for quarrying of materials. Trial holes can be dug, viability assessments and environmental surveys carried out.

Topsoil and Overburden Strip
Striped materials can be removed, stockpiled or landscaped to suit the needs of the project.

Rock Extraction By Large Excavators
Ripper tooth, hydraulic hammers.

Stockpiling of Materials
Materials stockpiled on site or removed from site.

Crushing and screening available.
